New patients
New patients are welcome. Completing the forms before your appointment can make check-in easier.
Appointments
Standard consultations can be scheduled with your regular doctor or the next available doctor, depending on preference and availability.
Extended consultations are available. Please tell reception when booking if you expect to discuss several concerns or need extra time.
Consultation types
- Minor service: a brief consultation for a straightforward concern.
- Specific service: a standard consultation involving relevant history, examination and management.
- Extended service: a longer consultation for more complex care or several concerns.
- Comprehensive service: an extensive consultation requiring detailed history, examination or investigation.
Fees and billing
Fraser Shores Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice.
Local Veterans’ Affairs patients, pensioners, health care card holders and children under 16 are bulk billed. Out-of-pocket costs may apply to complex surgical procedures.
- Standard consultation: $90
- Long consultation: $130
- Overseas visitors: $150
- Full body skin scan: $150 and not refundable by Medicare
Fees can change. Please contact reception to confirm the current cost for your appointment. Payment is required on the day by card, EFTPOS or cash.
Parking, privacy and reminders
Dedicated off-street patient parking is available around the building.
The practice is committed to protecting patient privacy and confidentiality. A privacy policy and collection statement are available online or from reception.
Preventive-care reminders and practice information may be issued from time to time. Ask reception if you would prefer not to receive these notices.
After-hours care
If you need urgent medical attention after hours, call the practice on (07) 4124 6333. A recorded message will explain how to contact the doctor on duty or the after-hours service.
After-hours consultations may incur a fee. Confirm the applicable fee when arranging care.
